SAVE US FROM INJUSTICE
AND OPPRESSION
REVISE OUR PENSION:
It is kindly requested that for the last 37 years (1986-2022) Bank Pensioners are suffering from economic distress and injustice, because their pension fixed on the Basic Pay at the time of retirement has never been revised, whereas the salary of working Bank Employees has been revised in every five year span of 1992, 1997, 2002, 2007, 2012, 2017 and it will be further be due to be revised from November, 2022.
The Bank Pensioners, who retired from 1986 to 2012, are in the age group of 72 to 97 years. Your government has revised the pension of Reserve Bank pensioners for above period from March, 2019. As per the Pension Agreement dated 29.10.1993 in respect to other Banks, pensioners are entitled to Revised Pension on the lines of Reserve Bank.
Respected Prime Minister, financial miseries and injustice is unbearable now. Pensioners are in deep financial distress, very sad and disappointed. Seeing no solution to the problems, the Pensioners are going to sit on a DHARANA at Jantar Mantar on 23.7.2022 to draw the govt attention for the following demands:
1. Pension Revision/Reforms Like
Reserve Bank,
2. Minimum Health Protection at Bank
Cost,
3. Pension, Gratuity, PF, NPS on Special
Allowance, and
4. Pension to the handful Resignees.
We request that the pension of the pensioners up to October 2012 should be revised, as has been done by the government in the Reserve Bank. This includes pensioners in the age group of 72-97, who are getting very little pension due to their low Basic Pay on retirement.
If pensioners in the age group of 72-97 sit on DHARANA like this, it will be a point in the bright image of the government. It is our humble request that you intervene immediately, get the bank pensioners their due, so that the situation of DHARANA can be averted.
