Meeting With Minister of State for Finance

All India Bank Retirees Action Forum

We wish to inform you that today morning a delegation of three members comprising *Harihar Sinha*, *Jugal Kishore Julka* and *Dharam Singh* met *Hon'ble Minister of State for Finance Shri Anurag Singh Thakur* at his residence in New Delhi. A detailed memorandum was handed over to him containing several demands of Bank Retirees including our major demand of *PENSION UPDATION & FAMILY PENSION*. The discussion was very fruitful and Hon'ble Minister has assured us that Finance Ministry will surely discuss our matter and some sort of solution may come in future. We will remain in touch with him and will  of following up this matter vigourously. A nice cup of tea was offered and photo was also clicked.

It was decided to visit the residence of *Hon'ble Dy Chairman, Rajya Sabha Shri Harivansh Narayan Singh* to know about further action taken by him on our memorandum   No. AIBRAF/37/19 dated 06.05.2019 earlier submitted to him. As we were there at random, Hon'ble Dy Speaker was pre-occupied with different meetings and no time was given by him. After hectic request his PS spared time to meet us. He acknowledged and remembered our memorandum already  submitted to Hon'ble Dy Chairman. We again requested for appointment. He assured that he has already discussed the matter with Hon'ble Dy Chairman and is aware of the facts and agreed to meet our delegation in future. The PS assured us that after fixing appointment he will call back. Excellent hospitality, cold water, delicious tea and biscuits provided by them showing familier to us. We hope for a good move and support from Hon'ble Dy Chairman, Rajya Sabha.

We also tried but couldn't meet directly *Hon'ble Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman* as she had just returned from a foreign visit only early today morning. During deliberations with her PS, he assured that he will certainly arrange for meeting with the Minister. Nice fellow, gone through our copy of memorandum and exclaimed with pensioners pathetic conditions.
We hope to meet her also very  soon.

Friends, we are in the continuous process of demanding justice for bank retirees and many more vital and enforced action of AIBRAF will be seen in near future. Our consolidation and unity always inspire us and inject new zeal and energy in banking retirees community as a whole, never seen before.
With Warm Regards,
