Dear Friends,
We have been mailing our circulars, articles etc to all our friend activists on FB & Whatsapp for last 6 years. Issues of bank men, whether working or retired, and Banking have been dealt suitably in our articles or taken up with operating Unions, Bankers, IBA, Govt and Parliamentarians ceaselessly. We have been presenting our issues with all seriousness, despite serious annihilation and discard from Unions. Today every bank man, whether in job or retired, is not only well versed with ground realities, but he is more serious, alert and vocal in regard to their issues.
We take you as well-wisher of Forum. Our circulars, articles have wide acceptance and positive response from you all, which give us the confidence to be right & on right path. Hope, similar kind gesture is shown to our endeavors in future as well.
Who are Pensioners, this question is posed by none else, but by those leaders who are sitting at the helm of affairs of Unions, which were built by these pensioners in their working days. No one could have imagined that present day leaders would turn such opportunist & ungrateful to senior veterans of Industy.
Working & retired bank men are two sides of same coin. If it was not like this, the very existence of Pensioners wouldn't have come. Today when a leader says, why should he do for Pensioners, we see in him total bankruptcy of thoughts. This appears alike the son terminating parental relationship & asking parents their relationship with him.
Anyway, it's most unfortunate scenario. Even today about 5 lakh old pension Optees are in job, who belong to these Unions, give them subscription, levy and implement their all organizational calls, including strike st wage cut cost. Tomorrow when they are retired, they will have to face similar situation, as we face today, there is no doubt about it.
This should be taken as live example of decay of trade unions class character and conscience. It's exemplary, that too in Banking, where we find legendary figures like late Parwana, Prabhakar, DP Chadha, Tarkeshwar Chakravarti to name few stalwarts of Bank employees movement, who gave their lost drop of blood to nurture and raise mighty trade Union of such dimension in Banking.
However, we hope, with ensuing 11th settlement pension revision like contentious issues will be resolved by IBA & Unions and for the purpose another Memorandum of Understanding will be signed between IBA and Unions with time bound commitment of resolution of issues. This they must do to save their drowning credibility, hit so low, as never before in history. History testifies, Banking Trade Unions never made false promises. Promises were turned into historical achievements, come what may. It has been in sequence till UFBU came in existence. It's another matter, that today's leaders make false promises, like one does with his kepts. They have replaced virtues of trade Unions with their convenience.
But, if with 11th settlement a time bound strategy is not deviced to resolve pension revision like serious issues, then this Forum itself or in collaboration with like-minded groups and people, shall look to Hon'ble Supreme Court for resolution of pension revision, 100% DA neutralization, Special Allowance treated at par with Special Pay, Health Insurance in terms of DFS letter 24.2.2012 etc, through writ. We are studying 2nd Pension Option terms to ascertain the violations of fundamental structures as set out in Pension Regulations, 1995 & Pension Agreement dated 29.10.1993. Our prima facia view is that 2nd option terms are against the spirit of law, arbitrary, discriminatory and violative of natural justice.
We make it clear, we are not any trade Union. We represent the akrosh/ resentment, arising out of human disgrace & discrimination. We are a pressure group against our own Unions. The day our demands of equality & justifiable rights are met with, discriminatory treatment in Pay, Pension, DA, allowances, Health Insurance is done away, we shall abandon our operations. And, until this is not achieved, we shall continue our tirade in more lethal way, is our solemn resolve.
Forum has no financial base, no Bank account and no coins. It's voluntary organization of Pensioners. For general operations we don't need any financial back up support. Yes, in case we have to take shelter of court, we shall need financial back up support.
We, ask you, in aforesaid situation, of course beyond our capacity, will you give us support or no, please clear it to us.
