ME & MY
MIRROR

It is the belief of bank employees that their leaders are corrupt. They allege, for their poor wages & service conditions, corrupt leaders are responsible. For bad condition of Banks, too, leaders are responsible, because in collusion with bank management, they compromised with organizational and institutional values, not only they kept their eyes shut, but shared booties, as evidence suggests.
These Unions acclaim to be independent and apolitical. But, it is a mime. They are openly pursuing the cause of CPI/CPM or other political parties, instead of Banking or Bank employees. A sorry affair indeed, bank employees despite being best performer, they are struggling for improvement of their wages & service conditions. They are trailing far behind, than their counter parts elsewhere.
Even the Prime Minister had praised the work of bank employees. But, Unions don't like the praise of the Prime Minister. Unions loudly say, the PM is fascist, anti- working people & friend of Ambani/Adani etc. As if, the earlier PMs- Nehru, Indira, Rajiv, Manmohan Singh- were of labour class representatives; they were not Tatas-Birlas, but honest guys. In India, earlier there was communism, socialism, all were Dy. Collector. In other words, nobody was unemployed. Poverty was totally vanished/ eliminated in Indira time. There was no space in India to store Gold stock, so it was shifted to & stored in London. World Bank had no space to keep it's Dollar stock, so they parked that here in India. There was no corruption, no scam at all. Now, it is Modi, who, while coming to power, brought along him Tatas, Birlas, Ambanis, Adanis, Malyas, Nirav, Chowksi etc. Not to work, but loot & plunder India. Thus, he lets banking & Country to loots. Modi is useless fellow and nobody should support at any cost. Now, how one views this sort of mentality, let us leave it to Bankers wisdom. At best, it's Mental fragility! Yes, people holding such mentality can befittingly be termed as mentally fragile. But, what's the end result of such mental fragility? Answer is: it's ruinous, costing very dearly to entire banking fraternity & financial sector as a whole.
Before end of current Settlement (10th Bipartite Settlement/Joint Notes) some 22 months in advance (in Feb.2016) GOI directed Banks/IBA to start negotiation process for next settlement, so as to conclude before expiry of currect settlement. Mistery of Silence of Bankers could be understood, but why Unions maintained stoic silence, none disclosed/explained it so far. Unions hold veto power in Settlement matter, being bilateral subject. Obviously, bank employees believe: one, that Unions deliberately wanted to drag settlement to 2019 General Election, in which, however, they could succeed, and two, delayed settlement would yield more levies to Unions which use to be based on arrear amounts. Delayed settlement causes more arrears and so, more arrear means more levies. Unions succeed in their first mission, now, they would be sending pseudo messages to vote this or that candidate. For this very reason, early settlement has become a casually. But, they pretend to be apolitical.
All employees/officers Pay monthly subscription, levy on arrears, let wage cut for strikes, hold dharanas-demonstrations. Unions suggest to treat these as investment, away from profit-loss considerations. Treat it all as live certificate of Trade Unions. As the facts stand: if you are trapped in some fault, you have to extend all hospitalities to your defending leader. Gift him, take him around market, support his purchases, where is good food, which are famous goods, take him to buy the choiced items. It is well understood, common courtesy & protocol warrants of Chargesheeted guy to pay such bills. Bad prescriptions, but to follow. Truely, it's usual and happening.
Bank pays TA/DA of Defence Representative- leader. Hotel bill is paid by Chargesheeted person, such paid bills are held back by DR-leader- and charged to Unions' account. From Chargesheeted guy, from Bank and from Union, having taken from three channels, the said leader now delivers surmons of honesty, dedication, conviction, commitment etc. from podium inviting thunderous clappings from we clowns. Even if the leaders want to correct himself, he can't do it out of multi- dimensional gains & greeds. Our leaders are like the lion. And, when the lion has the taste of blood, we all know how we call it....!
