THIS  is our humble request that your intervention, sympathy, goodwill, speech in the matter of bank pensioners should not prove to be a mere pretense and a political gimmick. If you have intervened, please ensure that the bank pensioners have a permanent solution to their pension revision and Medicare issues,  that they deserve,  cannot be ignored or forgotten, in your words.

All we have to say to you is that the bank pensioners are extremely disappointed and frustrated. They cannot be left to die like this, especially when 'reasons' are in your knowledge. 

In spite of your most appropriate remarks, the lack of initiative or progress on the part of the Hon'ble Bankers, in the Pension Revision Case, creates anguish and despair in the minds of the pensioners. Your initiatives and sentiments seem to be being ignored by Bankers.

Your statement, the steps taken and the thoughts that have been directly addressed to the bankers, are slowly turning into mere 'rhetoric'. Both, the economic deprivation and physical illness of veteran pensioners, are proving suicidal to them and thousands of them  have lost their lives under this circumstance.

It is totally inhuman for the bankers to treat the ex-bankers in such a way, which comes in the category of cruelty and understanding this you intervened, for which the pensioners and their family are grateful to you from the bottom of their heart.

You yourself have admitted that the former bankers should be given their due, they cannot be forgotten, they have contributed a lot. We appreciate your mention of Defense culture and the desire to see it in banking and we hope, under your leadership, the 'One Rank - One Pension' policy will be implemented in Public Sector Banks. No force can prevent you to deliver it.

For health protection, despite DFS instruction vide their letter dated 24.2.2012, the bankers are denying health security to Pensioners. This issue was raised before D.F.S. time and again, but DFS silence, enabled this problem to persiste. It is shocking that bankers have been disobeying the instructions of the DFS and the DFS is silent.

Therefore, we request you to please take immediate steps in the matter of our pension revision and health security, for which we will be grateful to you.

हमारा विनम्र निवेदन है कि बैंक पेंशनरों के मामले में आपका हस्तक्षेप, सहानुभूति, सदासयता, उद्गार महज दिखावा और एक राजनीतिक हथकंडा न साबित हों। आपने हस्तक्षेप किया है तो कृपया यह सुनिश्चित करें कि बैंक पेंशनरों की पेंशन रिवीजन और मेडीकेयर का स्थायी समाधान हो, जिसके वे आपके शब्दों में हकदार हैं, जिन्हें न नजरंदाज किया जा सकता है और न भुलाया जा सकता है। 

हमें केवल आपसे यह कहना है कि बैंक पेंशनर्स बेहद हताश और निराश है। उन्हे ऐसे ही मरने के लिए छोड़ा नहीं जा सकता, खासकर तब जब कारण आपके संज्ञान में है। आपके सर्वथा उचित उद्गारों के बावजूद, पेंशन रिवीजन प्रकरण में, माननीय बैंकरों की ओर से किसी पहल या प्रगति का न होना, पेंशनर्स के मन में क्षोभ और निराशा पैदा करता है। आपकी पहल को नजरंदाज किया जा रहा है, ऐसा प्रतीत होता है। 

आपके बयान, उठाए गये कदमों और बैंकर्स को सीधे संबोधित करते कहे गए विचारों से उपजी आशा, धीरे-धीरे महज 'बयानबाजी' में बदलती जा रही है। वयोवृद्ध पेंशनरों की आर्थिक विपन्नता और शारीरिक रुग्णता, दोनों, उनके लिए आत्मघाती साबित हो रही है और हजारों लोग इसके कारण अपनी जान गवां चुके हैं। 

बैंकर्स का पूर्व बैंककर्मियों के साथ ऐसा व्यवहार करना सर्वथा अमानवीय है, जो क्रूरता की श्रेणी में आता है और जिसे समझते हुए आपने हस्तक्षेप किया, जिसके लिए पेंशनर और उनका परिवार आपका हृदय से आभारी है।  

आप स्वयं स्वीकार करते यह बात कही हैंं कि पूर्व बैंकरों को उनका हक दिया जाए, उन्हें भुलाया नहीं जा सकता, उन्होंने बहुत योगदान किया है। आपका डिफेंस कल्चर का उल्लेख और उसे बैंकिंग में देखने की अभिलाषा की हम सराहना करते हैं और हमें उम्मीद है, आपके नेतृत्व में, सार्वजनिक बैंकिंग मे 'वन रैंक- वन पेंशन' नीति लागू होकर रहेगी। कोई ताकत इसे करने से आपको नहीं रोक सकती।

स्वास्थ्य सुरक्षा के लिए डी.एफ.एस. के पत्र दिनांक 24.2.2012 द्वारा जारी निर्देश के बावजूद बैंकर्स पेंशनरों को स्वास्थ्य सुरक्षा से वंचित किए हुए हैं। इस बात को डी.एफ.एस. के समक्ष बार-बार उठाने के बाद भी डी.एफ.एस. का चुप रहना इस समस्या को बनाए रखा है। यह स्तब्धकारी है कि बैंकर्स डी.एफ.एस. के निर्देशों की अवहेलना करते आ रहे है और डी.एफ.एस.चुप हैं।

अत: हम आपसे प्रार्थना करते हैं कि हमारे पेंशन रिवीजन और स्वास्थ्य सुरक्षा के मामलें में यथासंभव शीघ्रातिशीघ्र कदम उठायें जाएं, जिसके लिए हम आपके आभारी रहेंगे।
