Privatisation Of Public Sector Means Playing With Fire

Handing over public banks to private entrepreneurs means putting public money in risk and it is just like playing with fire. Strict control &monitoring may only  protect banks  from facing disaster. Had RBI discharged it's duty honestly and politician stopped exploiting of banks,  public bank could have been more healthy, profitable  and stronger.

Left parties have given a call for two days strike in banks not to stop privatisation but to improve their political base. Left parties have lost political ground in almost entire country.  They provoked farmers against government,  they provoked labourers against industrialists and they are provoking bankers against government for decades by showing them beauty of imaginary dreamland and unachievable gains.

It is they left minded leaders. who forced many promoters to close their  factories and it is they who promoted a culture of non performance in minds of  bank employees .it is they who are responsible  for creating unemployment  to a great extent.

Left minded leaders never gave a call for strike in public sector banks for desirable and justified rise in wages of bank employees but always used shoulders of bank to build pressure on government for personal gain and for political gain. They did not fight for updating pensions,  did do nothing to ensure uniformity in applicability of enhanced gratuity limit,  could not stop discrimination in income tax relief on leave encasement at time of retirement etc.

Time has come when farmers, industrial workers, bank employees and labourers in general  have to understand  the mischievous  style and bad intentions of these left leaders.

Left minded trade union leaders in banking industry are opposing proposed privatisation of few loss making and invisible banks.  But they are silent why and how almost half of market share has gone  in hands of privates banks from zero or hardly three percent share till 1990:

Why they are not asking for nationalisation of all existing  private banks and uniform pay structure  for all Bank employees.

Bank employees  must think over present banking crisis and explore /suggest best solution which will be beneficial and risk free for all.

I do agree that there is risk in private banks and privatisation of public bank. But none can say that public banks are healthy, risk free and performer. We have to have a balanced approach and adopt mixed economy principles. Any one policy in isolation may prove more harmful.

Before 1969 rich houses running banks used to exploit and after 1969, Bank employees, administrative officials and politicians started exploiting banks.

ALL BANKMEN/ACTIVISTS:

A frustrated gentleman opines, 'time has come to review our approach.' Reason:

i. 'as letters to authorities didn't evoke any response', ii. 'he (modi) is only busy in selling public properties to corporates to get funds at the time of election', iii. 'on the other side lakhs of cores rupees are being wasted in unproductive purpose like gas cylinders , toilets , houses , Rs 500/ per family per month  no use for them, but waste of huge public money', iv. 'no employment, idea of getting votes, blaming courts just for high profile cases, no court priority in retirees matter etc etc in one breath.'

With all these observations and out bursts, he landed on Human Rights Commission. He suggests,  posters be displayed to make public opinion, as it, according to his opinion, works for judiciary & government, both.

How all such irrelevant filths & garbage are helpful in resolving bank pensioners issues, is difficult to adjudge. Issues in question are totally bilateral in terms of legal agreement/ Regulations, binding on parties to these settlement. Remedy lies with parties to settlement, either to agree to resolve or agitate organizationally before management or the court. People are writing to government, because apart from ownership status the government has a role in public affairs. Government can interfere in any matter, whether it has a connection or no connection with an issue of public interests. It's part of functions of any welfare government.

While making baseless observations in public domain, he miserably failed to appreciate the perceptional changes that are seen around the power centre. Those are not without effective manoeuvres from different interested quarters. No less than an authority as of Finance Minister had to make open support to bank men cause. She did it, of course, not under any compulsions, perforce or at gun point,  rather, considering the pathetic condition of the bank workers, she has taken the initiative voluntarily on the basis of representations made by Pensioner Activists. Best course is to bear patience &  continue working.

Those who are against private enterprenuership...more often than not...

1. Send their children to the elitist possible private schools.

2. Travel by  niche airlines like Qatar airways, Emirates,  ( Jet, Kingfisher some time back), Interglobe, Spice etc and not by Air India.

3. Get admitted to best possible private hospitals for treatment, not government hospitals.

4. Stay in private hotels and resorts not in government run ITDC.

5. Most of them and their family use AIRTEL, JIO, VODAFONE  data not BSNL's.

6. Children of most of them (including children of bank employees who are likely to go on strike against proposed disinvestment in banks/privatisation of Banks)  prefer HDFC, ICICI, AXIS , KOTAK for banking services.

7. Curse government run  distribution companies for   power  failures  and prefer companies like TATA Power, Reliance Power, Torrent Power, CESC, ADANI Power to supply quality power to their towns and cities as is done in Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad,Kolkata, Mangalore and elsewhere.

8. Enjoy international level comforts at private run iconic airports like T2 Mumbai, Hyderabad, Mangalore, Bengaluru, Kannur and elsewhere and frown at ill maintained airports of AAI.

Double standards and  hypicricy  galore...

----------------------------------------------------

My observation are as follows

Bitter truth is that only employees and left Union leaders are against disinvestment and privatisation because they want risk free service where they work or not does not matter,  where their dishonesty does not matter and where any type of disobedience does not attract any punishment. In private banks flattery and bribery have got no place whereas in public sector banks an employee  can go to any height by using tools like flattery and bribery.

--------------------------------------------

Employees of Public Sector banks will be on strike on 15th and 16th March to oppose privatisation of banks. They say, saving public sector banks is protecting country from risk.

Do they think that existing private banks are threat to Nation?

If yes, they should demand their closure too. Or demand nationalisation of all existing private banks.

If no,  they should explIn why existing private banks are good and why even children of PSUBank employees keep banking with those private banks?

Why not work of farmers,  carpenters, barbars, painters,  decoration, shopkeepers, industrialists etc should also be undertaken by only government employees? They may demand closure of all privet businesses. In this way get rid of Ambani and Adani too.

I hope bank employees who are to go on strike tomorrow should think over above questions and try to explore best possible answer and stop hypocritical approach of left parties whose leaders are crazy for power and whose doctrine of socialism has failed all over the world, and more emphatically  from the country where from the concept of socialism and communism originated

Sri Ashwini Rana writes as under

The Police hopes You

The Landlord hopes You

The Dentist hope Your

Similarly trade union leaders who are not now  bank employees want maximum exploitation of working bank employees, painful transfer of bankers,  no promotion and no good posting to honest intelligent workers ,late sitting of bankers without compensation so that importance of leaders increase and they become more and more powerful. They first desire that bank management gives pain to staff and then they approach management for little relief. They delay Bipartite settlement so that they may get maximum levy in proportion to arrest bank staff get.

How long bank employees will take to understand the truth of their leaders and when will they remove these mischievous  leaders, only God knows.
