Hope Day For Pensioners

Today became *Hope Day* for the entire Banking Retirees fraternity.

Our high level delegation under leadership of  *General Secretary Shri Jugal Kishore Julka and Shri Dharam Singh, Senior Executive Member with Shri B L Jain, Convenor, Rajsthan, alongwith Shri S K Khanna and Shri Joginder Paul, senior activists of AIBRAF met an effective and strong Union Minister Hon’ble Dr.  Sanjeev Kumar Balyan.*

Our delegation cordially able to discuss all of our grievances, such as Updation of Pension, Family Pension, Health Insurance, payment of Gratuity with retrospective effect from 01.01.2006 and from 01.01.2016, 100% DA to pre 2002 Retirees and differential due DA payment for old retirees as per SC verdict etc.

Hon'ble Minister heard us very paitiently and asked us to clarify his doubts. We described him in details and informed him about carelessness of decision making authorities. We also made in knowledge of him that GOI approved enhancement and Revision of Pension to RBI Pensioners and we are deprived of these benefits.

After hearing our concerns Dr. Balyan showed his interest and assured with surprised that he was not aware of facts placed by our delegation. A memorandum was also submitted to him and it was eagerly observed that he discussed each and every points of concern.
Hon'ble Minister said that he is sending our memorandum with strong recommendations to Union Finance Minister for redressal of our grievances. He also assured us that he will follow up the matters at all levels.

*Our senior activists Shri S K Khanna and Shri O P Parashar, Convenor, M.P. played key roles in arranging the meeting with Dr S K Balyan Hon'ble Minister also promised to arrange more such meetings for following up and to know the development in future. He was confident that GOI will take suitable decisions and Bank Pensioners will not left in apathy.

During one hour long deliberations coffee was offered twice to make environment friendly so that we could better place our grievances in details to the lawmaker.
The meeting was conducted in cordial atmosphere and made hope to us that action may be initiated in the near future. This was never assured like this by any lawmakers, authorities or IBA previously. We are grateful to him.
Let’s hope of some concrete action in future.

A delegation of office bearers of AIBRF Bhopal (MP) had a meeting with Hon'ble Member of Parliament Sadhvi Pragya Thakur to apprise her about the issues/problems faced by Bank retirees.The delegation handed over a resolution adopted by mammoth meeting at Bhopal demanding sanctioning of just and reasonable demands of Bank retirees viz.Improvement in family pension,Updation of basic pension etc. by the Govt of India/Indian Banks Association (IBA) without any further delay.  The Hon'ble MP was very sympathetic towards the demands and assured the delegation to immediately forward the resolution to Hon'ble Prime Minister with her recommendations.
