Bitter Truth Addressed to Pensioners Association

Dear Shri SC Jain,
General Secretary,
AIBRF,
Indore

Dear Jain,

Why don't you introspect yourself with regard to your role in Federation? Don't you see, you are a burden on Federation and it is sinking just because your weight?

Once Federation was sole agent of Bank Pensioners across the cadre and country. Your inactions and stupidity compelled retirees to split & walk away from Federation and float another Union, instead driving you out. People lost patience and instead removing you, removed themselves from Federation, thus they ran away from eminent fight from inner evils; that way you survived and could inflict more gravious injuries to retirees cause to date.

You turned your back whenever an occasion came to face & fight. You appeared crippled and spineless on all occasions when you were called upon, as your duty, to stand straight & stronger. All the time your eyes have been on Federation's exchequer, how to use, abuse and manipulate that. It proves, over your long tenure, to be the real purpose of your enforcement on Fed.

You fell below to such level as to acclaim the credit of 1616/1684 case, in which you were not even a party. You didn't feel ashamed to collect levy from the arrear reaping from SC judgment at the instance of individual comrades. You refused to be a party in another case, just decided by SC ordering arrear from 1.4.1998 with 9% interest.

You are still totally confused, deliberately or by ignorance, with regard to present problems of Pension, Family Pension Revision, DA issue to pre-Nov 2002, Health Security to retirees, leave any issue related to welfare. Doesn't it all make you irrelevant & redundand to the cause of Bank retirees and why not should you be dispensed forthwith?

Let us make it clear, Retirees/ Pensioners outfits are not Trade Unions that they matter in Industrial set up. Federation or others can't cause even scratch on Banking. One shouldn't imagine any tangible gains from these Unions. It is bonded duty of operating Unions, who shape service conditions, to make policies as such that flow benefit to all working & retired people. See, Govt Pay Commissions. They take wholesome view for working and pensioners. In Banking, Unions achieved Pension on Central govt Pension Rules basis, but later they dropped it from their agenda. They come out with wage revision, but not pension. No settlement is complete settlement without Pension improvement, but Unions have been seen beating their drums on settlements, trying to market their achievement for last 20 years.

Even today, when RBI Unions achieved Pension revision for their pensioner colleagues, Bank Unions are indecisive and divided in approach even, which is well in their hands. RBI pension revision didn't come on RBI retirees shoulders, but on Unions taking tough stand at RBI, HC, SC, Govt turfs. Is there any such sign here in Banking? We don't see it at all.

As far pains, sorrows, miseries, health hazards, financial difficulties of retirees are concerned, these are very well taken up by groups and individuals with authorities, be it PMO or MPs. Courts are also flooded with petitions by painstaking efforts of individuals and due relief are coming, but of course at court speed.

You have never been seen any where around, except on stage or dias.. and for getting garlanded.

Hope, your inner self respect rise up and you decide for Bharat Yatra on your expense please.

Will you, please!
