Today Late Night
Dear Comrades,
We have been actively pursuing with the Head Office
through our direct
communications to the CMD, for taking an exemplary
action against the abettors
of suicide of Shri Ajay Sehgal. Through our letter
dated 08.07.2014 to the
Chairman and Managing Director, we had given a call
for Dharna in front of
Head Office on 19.07.2014 which will be joined by the
family of Shri
Ajay Sehgal (as conveyed telephonically to the
undersigned by Mrs.
Sehgal) in case the demands of the AIPNBOF are not
met. The letter
containing notice of Dharna to be held on 19.07.2014
was E-mailed to our CMD
this afternoon by General Secretary and was circulated
to our members vide
AIPNBOF Circular No. 42 dated 08.07.2014.
Pursuant to our agitation and the future course of
action and direct
communications to the Chairman and Managing Director,
the Management finally
decided to suspend both the abettors of suicide late
in the evening.
On hearing the news of suspension of both the
concerned senior executives, Mrs.
Sehgal telephoned the undersigned and thanked the
AIPNBOF for their whole
hearted support to the family and for continuing their
agitation for getting justice
for the family. She also expressed her gratitude to
the AIPNBOF comrades as
well as other bank employees who participated in the
struggle for standing with
her in this hour of grief. She desired that the
AIPNBOF will continue to support
the family in the legal battle also so that the
culprits must be punished by the
law of the land. We assure her that we will tell the truth
to the Hon’ble Court and
appear as witness and also will contact other people
who will are ready to speak
the truth in the Hon’ble Court to get the justice for
the family of Mr. Sehgal.
It is mentioned that General Secretary is the first
person to reach the spot
of incidence on 02.07.2014 and immediately called his
team Com. SL
Dhiman, Com. RK Rishi and Com. MK Grover alongwith
other members. Then the
body was brought to the General Hospital Sector-06
Panchkula. We are
associated with the pain of the family since
then.
Comrades, since beginning AIPNBOF is taking up the
agitation sincerely,
whole heartedly with a clearly defined line of action.

beginning, we were determined to carry out our efforts
to a concluding end. No
persuasion or mere assurances by the Management could
deter our line
of action or withdrawing our agitation without any
concrete result. We
were determined to seek justice. Number of
communications were circulated to
the members and addressed to the CMD and raised a
voice against the atrocities
being done by the senior executives with the field
functionaries, which resulted a
mental stress to the hardworking and honest officers.
Nobody in this bank
analyse that how the field functionaries are managing
the show on day-to-day
basis with huge shortage of staff.
Comrades, GM-HRD was deputed to stop the agitation of
AIPNBOF and discussed
the matter with us and we clearly told her that the
agitation will continue till our
legitimate demand is met by the Head Office
Authorities. She remained at
Chandigarh for two days i.e. on 07.07.2014 and upto
08.07.2014 evening. She
informed over telephone about the suspension of both
the senior
executives late night to the General Secretary.
Comrades, it is mentioned
that the circumstances were created for the deceased
Shri Anil Sehgal Chief
Manager BO: Sector-20 Panchkula - Haryana to commit
suicide by jumping
before the train. He lost his life for his other
officer brethren. Now the top
management took decision to suspend these to senior
executives Shri JK Gupta
Former FGM Chandigarh and Shri AK Gupta Former Circle
Head Chandigarh
today late night. The GM-HRD assured over telephone
that written
instructions will be issued by Head Office for Audio /
Video recording of
all the Review / Business Meetings to be held in our
bank at all places
from now onwards as per the next demand of the
AIPNBOF.
Comrades, this is not matter of any victory or
congratulations for anybody or any
organisation. The fact remains that we have lost a
dear colleague. With
heavy heart we assure the family of Mr. Sehgal that we
are with them. This is
not a fight for Mr. Sehgal only this is a fight
against the system and for the entire
officers’ fraternity. We hope that this is a wakening
call for the management /
senior executives and such incidents must not reoccur
in future. With this action,
the others who at present are not using good
parliamentary language to their
juniors should learn a lesson. Comrades, this is not
the end of our fight. We will
continue the same till the culprits are punished by
the Honorable court. We will
also continue our fight for seeking justice and
compensation to the aggrieved
family from the Management.
We discuss with our other leaders for withdrawl of
Dharna on 19.07.2014 after
this development and take decision accordingly.
Dear comrades, please don’t take such a drastic step
under any circumstances.
Life is very precious and your family is in need of
your personal presence.
Please take care your family first for which you are
morally responsible. Kindly
tell us well in time so that a suitable organisational
action be taken to stop any
such atrocities.
Thanking you,
Yours sincerely,
