Positive Response From IBA

ALL INDIA BANK RETIREES ACTION FORUM.   NEW DELHI

Dear Friends,

We thank all the Retirees and especially our esteemed Members who had participated in the E-mail campaign to sent thousands of E-mails to UFBU leaders, IBA Chairman & other BPS Negotiating Committee members for puting pressure on them to resolve our Demands of Updation of Pension and Family Pension along with Wage Revision in this Bipartite Settlement. We reproduce herebelow the excerpts from Circular No. 28/173/2020/11 dated 03-02-2020 of All India Bank Retirees Association (AIBEA) as under :

a) On our demand of Updation of Pension, IBA stated that it may not be possible to go for the same in one go in view of the huge cost involved but would be willing to look at it favourably by beginning to cover Retirees of some earlier Settlement periods by working out the same within the affordable cost.

b) On improvement in Family Pension, IBA reiterated that the issue stands referred to the Government and a favourable decision is expected.

For the first time in the history (PENSION UPDATION) after the commencement of Pension Scheme in 1995, IBA has been forced to give positive signals on Pension Updation due to the tremendous pressure put on them by AIBRAF through their various firebrand campaigns for the Retirees Movements.

It is a clear Victory of AIBRAF and its Members who made it possible together with their untiring efforts. This is not the end of Road as we have to go miles  ahead and the path is very tedious, but we will together complete it as the race is still on.

IBA once again is going to play the policy of "Divide and Rule" by consider beginning Updation of Pension with Pensioners of some earlier Settlement periods. We will not permit this at any cost as we demand the Pension Updation at one go for all the existing Pensioners.  AIBRAF REJECTS FRACTURED PENSION UPDATION and will continue its struggle for PENSION UPDATION FOR ALL PENSIONERS in this BPS Settlement. IBA & UFBU leaders will once again cheat and deceive us as usual. We have to to be vigilant and continue to strike hard on them as earlier. Our struggle will continue to achieve the desired results.

We thank our Members and all Retirees with whose support the Core Committee of AIBRAF made it possible within one year by entering into the den of of so called sleeping lions i.e. MoF, IBA, UFBU, AIBRF, CBPRO, AIBPARC etc etc.

God is with us as we are working honestly for our Retirees Fraternity. We assure that our struggle will continue. Kindly continue to support us with same zeal and fervour.*
