An Appeal To Prime Minister For Wage Revision

Hon'ble Prime Minister,
Govt. of India,
New Delhi

Hon'ble Finance Minister,
Govt of India,
New Delhi

Sirs,

We beg to invite your kind attention to following Resolution, adopted in Dharnas & demonstration, held today:

"This Dharna appreciates the directional changes in policies & programs of Modi Sarkar with tremendous success. This Dharna expresses its profound regard to Hon'ble Prime Minister for taking country to new heights at domestic & global terrain.

"However, this Dharna notes with regret that the letters & representations sent by Pensioner Organizations & Activists, in connection with their issues, addressed to Hon'ble Prime Minister & Finance Minister, making very passionate appeal therein to resolve their Pension Revision issue, pending for over 25 years, have not been looked into or responded by your good offices or by the authorities concerned.

"This Dharna invites your kind attention to the plights of Bank Pensioners whose pension has never been revised ever since it came into operation from January, 1986 despite 4 time wage revision and 5th one under negotiation.Five lakh Pensioners' households are based on meagre amount of unrevised pension.

"This Dharna urges upon Hon'ble Prime Minister & Hon'ble Finance Minister to look into the pains & plights of Bank Pensioners  and make their sincere endeavour to resolve Bank Pensioners issues.

"This Dharna makes a fervelent appeal to Modi Sarkar as under:

1. Please Direct, the Banks/IBA to arrive at BIPARTITE SETTLEMENT, which is under discussion, latest by January 2019 end, by holding day to day sittings.

2. Please Direct, the Banks/IBA to settle the Pension Revision/Family Pension issues with Bipartite settlement, treating Pension Scheme as an integral part of wages and service conditions.

"The participants in this Dharna are of firm belief that the desired steps will immediately be taken by your good offices to resolve our issues."

Please acknowledge receipt and action taken in this regard.

Regards,
