SORRY FOR OUR PLIGHTS !
-------------------------
Old Pension Optees,
still in Banks' Job,
too need Good Pension Policy.
Why are they silent and don't press their Unions to agitate for Pension Revision?
It's eye opening that RBI staffers have decided to go on mass leave for 2 days on coming 4-5 Sept, 18 on Pension Revision issue.
Where are our 'so called' trend setters, vanguards, pace makers?
Notable fact is, RBI Unions got once Pension revised up to 1997, but on the instruction of then Govt, the circular in question was withdrawn.
This was challenged in Bombay High Court by Unions. The Hon'ble Bombay High Court has set a side the withdrawal circular, upholding Pension revision circular.
Our trend setters, for the reasons best known to them, don't only avoid Courts, but ridicule those who go to courts.
Even RRB people going to Court for wage parity were ridiculed. See, they got wage parity from Court.
Again see, their Pension Demand, they went to Court and got much more than their counterparts sponsorer Banks have for their employees & officers.
Courts are a costly affair, no doubt. Pensioner Unions dare not to defy their mentors, so they had no courage to go to courts.
Even 1616/1684 case was fought by individual Pensioners, but now Pensioners' Unions shamelessly acclaim it as their achievement. Not only this, they have crossed all limits of shamelessness and are collecting levy from beneficiaries. What's the right they have to it?
DA case pensioners lost, because impleaded Union miserably failed to plead it before SC. Hefty 35 lakh, as per informed sources, was paid to Advocate concerned.
Total scenario is different and dismaying not only to Pensioners, but to 5 lakh odd old pension beneficiaries still in job as well as entire workforce who aspire for reasonable & adequate wage increase and improvements in their service conditions.
Sorry for our painful plights once again!

It is true in the matter of 1616--1684 case retiree union did nothing,it was the effort of individuals, benefit of which, retirees are getting. Retiree union has no moral right of demandind any levi.
ReplyDeleteGood pointing..
ReplyDeleteWe wish that it has to be taken positively and not as mere criticism. It is unfortunate that the unions are forgetting Pensioners issues and updaton aspect in the BPS.
At least now they need to shoulder pension updation as main issue and not end up ad footnote or record note..All the best..
