Professional Fees To Advocates

Whether Kejriwal should pay fee from his own  pocket to Advocate Ram Jethmalani or Government should pay on behalf of CM Kejriwal who is personally charged of defaming others is a question on which  all intelligent people are unanimous that Kejriwal should pay for mistake committed by him in person. It is different that blind followers of Kejriwal do not accept this answer.

Keeping apart this question,  Controversy on payment of professional fees to Ram Jethmalani has raised one more  point to ponder over which is

Whether there should be a cap on professional fees charged by various specialists .

Yes , in my view, there should be certainly  some limit for fees charged by professionals like advocates, chartered accountants, valuers, coaching institutes, pathological tests etc as there is cap on payment of salary and perks. I have no doubt in saying that some of professionals are shamelessly exploiting persons who comes in pain and who is already in critical position.

 If a tempo driver charges 100 during night time compared to Rs 70 or 80 in day, people call him looter. Even those professionals who are named above will not hesitate in abusing tempo or taxi drivers if they are charged a little bit more than normal charges.

Even Rickshaw pullers are abused and rebuked if he demand Rs 20 sometimes in place of Rs15 normal charges.


On the other hand , even a simple blood test is done at Rs 50 to Rs 500 depending upon the nature of laboratory, some of them are purely looters who give a large share to similar and  loot minded doctors. Similarly teachers seldom teach properly in schools or college they are associated with, but charge exorbitantly high amount when they teach in coaching institutes formed by them.

It is to be noted here that a chartered accountant demand high fee only to manage and manipulate accounts of a company to save taxation. Similarly an advocate charge high professional fee  when he takes up a case in  which   chances of victory for normal advocate is minimum. A teacher demands high amount of fees to manage pass certificate and best marks for a poor student. And so on

Health of public sector banks has been deteriorating year after year only because CA submit fabricated balance sheet, certify bad accounts as standard account and manipulate income and expenses to the benefit of promoters of the companies at the cost of public banks.

Chartered Accountant works as a broker of Income tax officers and help a businessman in tax evasion. Valuers assess a property and give extraordinary high value to it so that property owner can avail higher amount of loan from a bank.


If government increases train fare by 5 or 10 percent, opponents of ruling party will create havoc in the country . But same opponents remain silent spectator when Doctors loot and exploit patients, when coaching institutes exploit students, when private schools and colleges charge extremely high fees from students without providing adequate teaching and infrastructure to students, when builders receive full amount of a flat but do not handover to buyer of the flat, when bankers write off loans amounting to billions of rupees and put burden on honest taxpayers and so on.
