Dear comrades,

Ø           WAGE REVISION –15th ROUND
Ø       A SMALL STEP TOWARDS POSSIBLE RESOLUTION.
Ø       7TH JANUARY 2015 STRIKE ALONE DEFERRED.

Prelude to the meeting at IBA office on 6th January 2015, CLC[C] convened the meeting of UFBU and IBA to break the deadlock after the November 12,  and 4 relay Zonal strikes in the first week of December 2014, on 5th January 2015 at 15.00 hrs at  New Delhi.

AIBOA, was represented by Com.S.S.Shishodia, President and Com.Sanjay Khan, Joint Secretary in the conciliatory meeting.  On behalf of the Unions, it was submitted that the action of the IBA seeking the revisiting of the mandate by member Banks was highly provocative one resulting in announcement of the strike action on 7th January 2015.  IBA has expressed that the action initiated was based on the Managing Committee decision.  However, IBA expressed their desire to have further discussion on 06.01.2015 itself.

Keeping alive the spirit of bilateralism, it was decided to participate in the 15th     round of discussion on 6th January 2015 at 15.00hrs.

A ray hope on 6th January 2015 discussion:

In the discussion held at Mumbai on 6th January 2015 IBA team was captained by Shri Rajeev Rishi, Chairman, Negotiating team [CBI], Shri Ashiwini Kumar, Chairman, [Dena Bank], Shri Arun Tiwari, Chairman [UBI], Shri Ashwin Mehra, DMD [SBI], Shri B.Rajkumar, ED [IB], Shri M.V.Tanksale, CEO [IBA], Shri K.Unnikrishnan, Dy.CEO[IBA] and officials of HR Department, IBA.  11 Unions have participated in this round also.  While sharing the developments in the Banking Industry, on wage issue, they initially proposed 0.5% increase and in turn insisted to bring down our demand substantially.  After protracted discussions amongst the representatives, backwards and forward, for a period of nearly three hours, in response to the IBA offer of revised offer of 12.5% to take forward the talks further, the demand stands revised to 19.5% from our end.

Keeping in view of the “a step forward” development, the intention to shelve the issue of revisiting mandates by IBA after a due process and to continue the discussion on 7th also resulting in, deferment of the  one day strike action on 07.01.2015.

Discussion continued on 07.01.2015:

The adjourned dialogue process commenced at 10.45 hrs.  Keeping the trend of discussion and the developments, Unions insisted for expeditious conclusion of the talks within a time frame with substantial enhancement in the % of PSC.  While   responding Chairman Negotiating team IBA, expressed that the discussion to take a definite shape by mid February by holding periodical discussions and agreed to sort out the issues by constituting small committees.  The issues listed for discussions in the small committees are :

[a]          [a]  Hospitalisation scheme backed up by Insurance tie up , without any ceiling.
[b           [b]  Regulated working hours, Discipline and Appeal Regulations, 5 days working etc.
[c]          [c]   Issues of award staff / officer staff listed in the Charter of Demands.

Discussion on Pension:

The issue of Family pension, 100% DA for retirees prior to 01.11.2002 and also updation of Pension were taken up, besides restoring the “old pension scheme” for the new recruitees joined the services of the Bank after 01.04.2010.

IBA, while sharing their concern to resolve the matter of reitrees, ultimately expressed that the quantum of money counts to decide these issues in totality.

The future programmes of actions depend upon positive, satisfactory and sincere reciprocal approach in the discussion expected to be scheduled to take place shortly.

Hence a small step towards possible resolution.

Yours comradely,

/S.NAGARAJAN/

Dear PS Bankers,
All of our officers and employees across India working in all the PS Banks needs to gear up (including the young brigade which has been created in last few months) immediately and take up with their local unit leaders and submit their individual letters that if central leadership agrees to lower the wage hike below 19.5%, they will leave the association immediately on conclusion of the BPS. They should also mention that no further subscription and levy will b...
e payable by them if the agreement is below 19.5%. Let a clear message be sent to UFBU leaders that enough is enough and Aam Banker is in no mood to compromise further to the truncated current demand of 19.5%. If IBA does not agree, it will be IBA responsible for 4 days strike.

Let central leadership receive thousands and thousands of such letters from individual bankers on daily basis within next one week. This needs to be taken up seriously and on war footing by young bankers and ensure that such letters of individual bankers reach the UFBU leaders so that they do not cry foul if later on these bankers decide to leave the association / unions.

Drop the MEMBERSHIP of Employee Union: It useless to be part of bank union
**************************************************************************************

Let me bring you few facts across the table as why the Employee Union is a USELESS body for Bank Employees....
1. Bipartite is due from last 26 months. It is much more than a usual time frame during which , had a proper and honest discussion would have happened and pressure would have been mounted on IIBA, results would have been fruitful.
2. Bank Union is taking arbitrary decision to call a strike and cancel it on their own wish without even taking the feedback of its member employee.
3. They are too quick to come down from their 25% to 19.5% and IIBA moved its offer just from 10% to 12.5% . This shows how good (read TERRIBLE)the UNION is in NEGOTIATIONS.
4. Worst is that they got ready for 60% DA merger instead of 76% which was prevailing DA since wage hike is due.
5. They are cunningly taking shelter of the other issues such as five days banking, regulated working hour etc talks, which they know that there is no immediate answer to it and they can get away from main issue by diverting to this.
6. 12.5% after two years is not better than 10% on time. Remember we are not getting any interest on the arrears.
6. Many of us are not eligible for big loans even when we are virtually on higher salary which is because of UNION tactics , getting delayed.
7. Additionally we are sacrificing our salary for their strikes which is totally unyielding and unwarranted.
8. On the other hand union secretaries , presidents are enjoying extra leaves for nothing. ...

Friends, you all know that We Bankers has been created by many enlightened bank employees who have been dissatisfied with autocratic working of the unions to bring reforms in trade union movement and fight for dignity and honour of bank employees by striving and making whole hearted efforts to secure equality and parity in salaries, pensions, 5 day a week working, regularisation of canteen and temporary employees etc.
Sri Manish Kumar who carries an id piba was made incharge ...of Delhi as Delhi is the Capital of country. Sine most of the activities were held in Delhi, he was given autonomy and authority by We Bankers Activist so that he experiences no obstacles in functions.

Of late, seeing the popularity of We Bankers, Sri Manish kumar has turned out to be dictator and started behaving in an autocratic manner. Today he removed Sandip Wasan, Sri Tarun and Miss Jay Shree Pathak from admin of various groups created to add bank employees for their involvement and commitment towards the movement. He removed and blocked Kamlesh Chaturvedi who has always been there for us. He has lost all senses and has started behaving like a dictator. He is behaving as he is owner of we bankers and removing those who are well known faces of We Bankers like Saransh srivastava and who have sacrificed their time, money and energy for in developing the we bankers.

Under these Circumstances, Sri Manish Kumar is expelled from We Bankers and his matter would be discussed in the ensuing general body of we bankers where he too will be given full opportunities to express his views.

In the meantime, we request all those who are feeling heart due to autocratic behaviour of Manish Kumar not to feel hurt, you are part of we bankers and we respect your contributions. Let us not pay attention to the divisive and destructive mind and focus on the achieving the aim of we bankers.
Team we bankers

Great Politics and Youngsters divided
For last few months youngsters are making some hue and cry over the wage revision through social media and some events.
When UFBU made some blunder it was right time for youngsters to come again in the field against them, ye kya hua surprised me very much. They were fighting with each other, for what silly matters. But no body could understand the politics behind it, because they have been devided by one of the members from within. I co...uldn't believe for two days. But when I was send some of the call records, it was hard facts and there was no reason to unbelieve it. But was it only mistake of the person who devided them or it was the mistakes of the person who got devided. I made several presumption and found that if these youngsters were together, Let any force come or whatever happened nothing should have made them separated. Finally they succeeded in their plan and youngsters are divided and fighting among them. God tusi great ho, tohfa kabul karo. Today it was proved that money is biggest power and in present world no body is untouchable of it. Only a real saint can escape. Evil mind again won. But I am more worried for future. It seems they have lost the war they should have won. But destiny can't be changed. It was bound to happen and people should be ready to accept. It is great lessons for generations to come, you can't fight war with ego. If you want to see the bonding visit any of the defence unit. It is first lessons we learn there. Country is above all. They keep United for the sake of it. They don't it but don't dis believe each other. There behaviour is beyond question. It is called dedication. Which is lacking and our ego is the main enemy. I thought of keeping quiet but my heart did not allow that. If any body want to fight for organisations, either he should keep away personal ego, personal problems else should not come in front. Leaders should behave like leaders. He should set example for others. His dealings should be beyond questions, pure and crystal clear. This may be my last post trying to awake the sleeping souls to come out of self centered goal and do something for others. God bless you all my friends, brothers and sisters.
